Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation announces Large Impact Grant Awards

The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation has approved fourteen Large Impact Grants totaling $625,888 to area nonprofit agencies to promote health, wellness or disease prevention of persons within a three-state, nine-county area: Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce in Idaho; Asotin, Garfield and Whitman in Washington; and Wallowa in Oregon.

The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation has approved another $56,000 in Fast-Track Small Grants to seven area nonprofit agencies to help them deal with health issues, including some brought on by COVID-19, the Coronavirus pandemic, the LCVHF Board of Community Advisors have announced.

Large Impact Grant Deadline Extended to July 1, 2020

The large impact grant deadline has been extended to July 1, 2020.

Large impact grants are for up to $75,000 but the Foundation will consider compelling requests in any amount. Priority will be given to applications that demonstrate a commitment to long-term vision, building partnerships, and projects that address the root causes that promote health, wellness, and disease prevention. Money will help 19 area nonprofits deal with effects of COVID-19

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis Clark Valley Health Foundation elected officers for the year and added five members to the Board of Community Advisors recently.

During the foundation’s annual meeting, Dr. John Rusche, retired physician and former legislator, was re-elected to serve as Board President. Nancy Chaney, co-owner of Veterinary Ophthalmic Specialties in Moscow and former mayor of Moscow, is the new Vice Chair. Darby Zick, Coordinator of Clearwater Emergency Services in Orofino, is the new Secretary.

Representatives of the Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation announced they are immediately opening an augmented Fast Track grant program to help qualifying health-related non-profit organizations in a nine county area deal with COVID-19, the coronavirus pandemic.
